Riverside
The city of Riverside, California, is one of the largest metropolitan areas within the Inland Empire. Located an hour away from Los Angeles and neighboring Orange County, Riverside has become a popular destination for families, college students, and business enterprises. Riverside is named after its close proximity to the Santa Ana River, and is best known for being the original hub of California’s citrus industry. With a population of over 300K, residents in Riverside are spread throughout the outlining areas of the original downtown area and have taken residence in growing sections of Riverside proper.
There are many venues to choose from for shopping and dining throughout Riverside, with the newly built Riverside Plaza off Central Ave. before the Arlington Ave. exit and the reconstructed Tyler Mall being two of the larger shopping establishments. The original downtown district of Riverside continues to thrive with historical museums, the downtown marketplace, fine dining, and luxury suites such as the historic Mission Inn. The city of Riverside has something for everybody, and it’s no wonder that it’s been one of the fastest growing cities in America.
